12/2009 My husband and I met through CMLE in 1985. I was member W2511and he was member M2101. At the time, I was just beginning a medical practice in Louisville, Kentucky and he was an engineer in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After a couple of letters passed back and forth, we met within 2 months, were engaged 3 months later, and married 4 months after that. We live in Kokomo, Indiana, and have two wonderful teenage children. Shortly after we married, we were contacted by Mrs. Conroy, to see whether we'd be interested in doing an interview with a reporter from the Louisville Courier-Journal about our experience. Unfortunately, we were never contacted further and, thus, we never had the opportunity to express our thanks to the organization that so changed our lives for the better.

We still avidly listen to classical music, time permitting, and attend the Indianapolis Symphony whenever we can. Our children, while not as fanatical as we are, do have an appreciation for classical music that far exceeds that of their peers. Over the years, our musical tastes have melded; my husband now lists Tchaikovsky and Brahms in his "Top Ten Composers", and I have grown to revere Shostakovich and Stravinsky.

Classical music was the common language shared by two people from totally different backgrounds (my husband is from small-town Michigan and I am a Jersey girl) who, nonetheless, were compatible in almost every way, and never would have met without the agency of your organization. With all due respect to Dr. Neil Clark Warren, we found OUR SOULMATES, through CMLE! And we will always be grateful to you.

Sincerely yours,
Mary and Warren
9/2009 I met my present love through CMLE exactly 3 years ago on September 9, 2006. Still going strong even though Abe lives in Dobbs Ferry, NY and I have moved to Delray Beach, Florida. We've traveled together on cruises, to London, San Diego, etc. Sincerely, Susan (W 9915)
9/2009 We believe we may be record setters. We first met as CMLE members in New York City in the autumn of 1990. We were together and apart over the years, always I suppose in each others hearts, because we married in July, 2009. As an added bonus, we are expecting a baby boy in February. Best, Jim and Martha (M3407 and W6166)
7/2009 I wanted to express my gratitude for your wonderful service. I received a letter six weeks ago from one of your members and since then, we have become the dearest of friends. She is charming and we share so much in common. We are so excited about our friendship and have already met. We are planning to work together so that I can eventually relocate to her city. Thank you many times over! Sincerely, Alan
5/2009 Due to your excellent service, I'm not renewing my membership. I've been attending concerts with a wonderful lady. Thanks to you. (M5346)
5/2009 I have no need to renew my membership thanks to CMLE. I met one of your members, Mike from Redding. Our mutual interest in classical music was a very good link to start with. In January Mike joined me for a trip to Brazil (a very special meeting with Heitor Villa-Lobos!). The experience was so positive that in this very moment we are moving to a new house in Mokelumne Hill! I would like you to know how grateful we are for the help of CMLE! (W10939)
4/2009 I would like to let you know that, since November 2, 2003, I found a relationship with somebody in New York thanks to CMLE, and we are still corresponding. Consequently I guess I won't renew very soon! (W10400) Geneva, Switzerland
3/2004 I will not be renewing my membership. I am Dating someone I met through CMLE. Thank you very much. (W9880)
3/2009 Just a brief note to let you know I met a terrific woman through CMLE. Thanks for a great service. (M2818)
12/2008 Will not be renewing this time. Met an exceptionally talented, charming, worthy organist thru CMLE in Texas. I'm in Calif. And it is worth the downsides to continue with much to be gained. Thanks for your help, (M4744)
9/2008 I am seeing a wonderful woman I met through CMLE 4 months ago. She is an outstanding artist with a great love for the arts in general. I've never been happier in my life. This is the only organization where I have been able to find kindred spirits and now I have found a real soul mate. (M4397)
8/2008 I learned about your website from my Uncle, who met a very wonderful woman through CMLE. They are now a couple and attend many concerts "together" in DC!
3/2008 Erika and Michael, who have long since forgotten their member numbers, are pleased to announce the third birthday of their son Emery David. They still love telling the story of the way they met back in 1992. They apologize for the belated nature of this report; it slipped their mind until they saw a television news report about dating services. I lived in New York and he lived in California, so we surely would never have met without CMLE. Eternal thanks for doing what otherwise would never have been done. Erika (W6261 and M4148)
3/2008 I am not renewing because I met a wonderful, caring, thoughtful man through CMLE and am savoring the relationship. Many Thanks to CMLE! W10161
2/2008 Thank you for the service. I married Mikki (W8443), New Milford, CT, in December 2000. We met by profile in 1997. We live in Malvern, outside Philadelphia. Congratulations on another marriage. Clay (M4715).
Just wanted to thank you. Also, we are another example of how single people do not have to live in the same state in order to develop a relationship. Sincerely, Mikki
1/2008 I am canceling my membership because I met and fell in love with a warm, intelligent, beautiful woman through CMLE. M10401
1/2008 Within the first month of joining CMLE, I met a wonderful man who I am seeing exclusively. Thank you! W10365
12/2007 Good news. Hi. I recently met someone through CMLE. Could you please suspend my membership. Thank you. Happy holidays. M10255

11/2007 Just wanted to let you know that I am seeing someone I met through CMLE. Thanks for a really great service. W9916
10/2007 Dear CMLE, Because I met a wonderful woman through CMLE some months ago, I'm not renewing my membership. You can count my experience in your "success story" total. Thank you, M5301
9/2007 Words cannot express the joy that has come to my life through CMLE. Perhaps only a Bach Chorale approaches the depth of feeling that has been awakened in me as the result of meeting a truly wonderful woman on CMLE. The story is made more incredible since her profile was submitted as a gift from her sister who met her male friend on CMLE four years ago!!! Thank you CMLE. You are a beacon in an otherwise barren dating landscape. I had almost lost hope that such a change was possible for me. Encourage everyone to keep answering those e-mails and phone calls because s/he could be waiting to hear from you. Many thanks. M 5436
8/2007 I am not renewing because I met someone very special through CMLE. Thank You. W9948

Just wanted to thank you. We are another example of how single people do not have to live in the same state in order to develop a relationship. W8443.

10/2006

In January I was contacted by another member of CMLE - Jon and I have been together since! Another success story. Thanks. W9172

10/2006

I am very happily canceling my subscription. In my first six months enrolled in your service I have fallen in love with a wonderful, beautiful woman. We first met in February 2006 and we are still growing closer everyday.

I have always felt that the types of people that are and would be closest to my heart hold the humanities, classical music and the fine arts close to their heart. This exceptional woman has not only deepened my own appreciation but has opened new doors of exploration and has already shared countless wonderful experiences with me. Thank you. M5313

9/2006

My first CMLE encounter turned out to be Mr. Wonderful – we’ve been together ever since our first date last March! Thanks, CMLE! W9791

8/2006

I have met my soul mate through CMLE, the woman I have been longing for ever since my wife died six years ago. I HAPPENED to have a doctor's appointment in NYC on a particular day, and I HAPPENED to be listening to the radio rather than a CD on the way home, and I HAPPENED to be listening to WQXR just when your commercial was aired. To me that's the classic definition of Kismet. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Needless to say, I am not renewing my membership, but ... Thank you, thank you, thank you. Michael, M5308

7/2006

I found my match through CMLE! Robert of Oak Park, IL called me in February of this year and we quickly found what good partners we are. As Bob says, we are a pair that beats any full house. Thanks Anna Dee

7/2006

I have become involved in a serious relationship and wish to cancel my CMLE membership (W 9833). I met my new boyfriend at work; however, I did meet a friend and concert companion through CMLE, and for that I'm grateful to CMLE! Keep up the good work!! Sincerely, Kathryn

5/2006

Yes, I am not renewing because I have met a wonderful woman thru CMLE! M1923

5/2006

I am thrilled to say that I will not be renewing my membership. I have been discovered by a dear and wonderful man during his first month as a CMLE member. I have been a member for 6 years and this man was worth waiting for! Stewart, thank you for continuing this great service after Monique handed over the reins. Please feel free to use my name. Anne W8174.

5/2006

I am currently involved in a satisfying relationship & no longer feel CMLE is appropriate for my needs. I do, however, continue to correspond with a dear friend I met through this exchange and am grateful for that connection. W9723

4/2006

Don’t need to renew. Met somebody. You have a great service. I pass on your name and address to others all the time. Keep up the good work. Thanks. M4874

Erika Penzer Kerekes and Michael Kerekes, who have long since forgotten their member numbers, are pleased to announce the second birthday of their son Emery David. We still love telling the story of the way we met back in 1992. We apologize for the belated nature of this report; it slipped our mind until we saw a television news report about dating services. Eternal thanks to CMLE for doing what otherwise would never have been done.

12/2000

I should have notified you a few months ago to cancel my membership, please. I am now engaged to a man I met through CMLE some five years ago, when he was in North Carolina and I in Massachusetts. After a few ups and downs (I rejoined CMLE during one of the downs) we have made it to commitment and plan to be married in May of 2006. Thanks, CMLE! (You may publish my message, but I prefer to remain anonymous.)

8/2005

Greetings from Member W9580. I would appreciate it if you could put my last month of membership on hold! I met someone really nice through CMLE in May, Member #M334, and if you'll pardon the expression, David and I have been making beautiful music together! So far so good! I hope its not too late to let you know. He might have called you to ask you to do the same for him, if not please put his membership on hold also! Thank you so much, Sincerely, Paula New York, NY

8/2005

I am pleased and grateful to report that someone, a Lauren of Elmhurst (Chicago), Illinois, found me! We have been dating for eight months. (It's ironic how success works against CMLE.) I have to say that I've tried many ways of meeting people, and CMLE women have been among the best. Jonathan Chicago, IL

The following email arrived with a wedding photo attached.

We did it! Thanks so much! Giacomo and Sheila Philadelphia, PA

We're a little late, folks, with this announcement, but --I became a CMLE member in April 1997, I believe -- about a year after my wife died -- and almost immediately began meeting some very interesting and attractive female members. But none of them struck the harmonic chords with me that I yearned to hear.

Until May 1998, that is, when an angel-member in the form of Amy, CMLE number W5076, called me. We met. There was something different about her: was it her bright eyes, her dazzling smile, her ebullient personality? (Astonishing, amazing, Amy-able Amy!) Whatever it was, we were definitely in tune --so much so that I let my membership lapse.

Last August, what had been hovering in the air, like the music of the spheres, took definite shape and substance: we became engaged.

On February 24 of this year, that ethereal music became concrete: we were married.

Amy and I now look forward to many years of making beautiful music together: from separate, independent solos to a duet, in harmony, and now to a solo again -- but one with two voices in warm, wonderful unison.

Thank you, CMLE! You score again! Sincerely, Norm (M4919)

5/2005

I would like to ask you to put me in your "inactive" file due to fact that Iam seeing a wonderful lady I met through CMLE. One Wagner performance (Die Walküre) (plus some more) was enough to convince me of the correctness of this significant step. Thank you very much for your help and understanding. M5204

5/2005

I was so surprised to come across your website today !!!.

Perhaps you will remember us from way back in 1987.,,,before the days of E-mail,,,,..Carlos from San Juan PR and Lynne from Wilmington. DE..both prof. flautists....Well, our correspondence through CMLE led to our marriage a year later.

...Have raised Jan and Jill (Carlos' children) who are now in college majoring in music (horn and 'cello). We now reside in Maryland.

Would love to receive your newsletter and perhaps contribute a bit about our meeting through CMLE and activities.

Best Wishes for all you have and are still doing for others !!!....Lynne

5/2005

I do not wish to renew for the following reason: I am seriously dating another member. This may be another of your successes!! M5184

10/2004

A new member joined after hearing about us from Peter who met his wife through CMLE.

I just found CMLE’s website! How very high tech! <smile!> I am so pleased to see that it is still in operation today.

Bob and I met through CMLE in 1982. I was the singer making a living as a Nanny, and Bob was the harpsichord builder.

We are still together, still working with harpsichords (renting them out for concerts instead of building them), and still living in Yonkers, NY.

Just wanted to touch base and say "Hi!"

Paul and I did not renew our memberships recently after several years, because CMLE succeeded in changing our lives! One of Monique's wise pieces of advice to new members was not to limit yourself geographically. I agreed and wrote to her at the time of my first renewal in 1997, "Long distance is a challenge, but not impossible." She quoted me in the newsletter and I continued to search broadly for a new life partner. It’s now about six months since I've been happily creating a home with Paul (M3172), a professional violinist whom I met through the Classical Music Lovers' Exchange in February 1998.

Our long distance romance grew and when personal and professional situations came together at the same time, I lived out one of the most romantic adventures of my life; I packed up and moved fom Chicago to New York to be with Paul and also start a new professional life. Our lives are blending nicely and my music has been reawakened as well. I'll be singing with his chamber group and wherever else I can make music.

Everyone who has heard our story has been delighted by the sheer romance of it. I love telling the story over and over and sharing the CMLE materials with unattached music lover friends. Paul and I could never have met without the CMLE connection and we will always be grateful for this wonderful organization.

Thank you for providing such a wonderful service and best wishes for continued success. We know it is changing the lives of many people every day.

Best Regards,

Linda (W8754) and Paul (M3172)

6/2004

We had another success story this month. A couple wrote to tell us they met through CMLE 3 years ago and have been happily married for 6 months now.
